The stated aim of the program: The course is designed provide a good grounding in core biotechnology, critical thinking, ethics and good healthy to offer practical and applied knowledge in completion biotechnological projects.

The training program includes both theory and practice, focusing on the ability of practical application in life.

The program is designed flexibly in both training course and training methods, which is according to the actual needs of high-tech labor market requirement. Additionally, the well-designed program interfaces between disciplines, allows the graduates will increasingly be recruited for their adaptability, and they could adapt readily in a new culture and working environment.

Entry Requirements

For training program in Vietnamese


  • Graduated Vietnamese high school diploma (in fulltime or continuing education) or graduated intermediate vocational diploma.
  • Graduated intermediate vocational program but no high school diploma, the learners must study and finish school credits according to the regulation.
  • Graduated from high school abroad, equivalent to high school diploma in Vietnam.
  • B2 in Vietnamese (level 4/6) of Vietnamese language ability framework for foreigners according to Circular No. 17/2015/TT-BGDDT dated 01 September 2015 promulgated by Minister of the Ministry of Education and Training (Appendix 1). If learners don’t meet the requirements in Vietnamese, they have to attend Vietnamese class at Ho Chi Minh City Open University (E-Learning Center or Center for short courses).


  • Graduated from University in the right major or in other close majors (Appendix 2).
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree delivered by foreign educational institutions must carry out the recognition procedures according to the current regulations.
  • Minimum Vietnamese language proficiency from Level 4 under the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners; In case the entrants do not meet Vietnamese language requirements, the university will organize Vietnamese language preparation classes before studying the official program (studying online at E-learning training center or on site at Center for short courses).
